At the moment my daughters and a few other friends are doing a Bible App devo called In-Security. As we go through this devo only a few days in of twelve days, one thing sticks out to me. When we are secure, we are in-security. To be in-security means to be in-Christ. When we are living in Christ we find that although we may think of ourselves in certain ways that do not line up with the word of God, we still can overcome those ways by our thoughts.
Christ is our security. Isn’t it wonderful to know that, feel that? If you, mom or dad, died today, would your children be secure in you or in Christ? That’s a deep question I asked myself a couple years ago while thinking, “OMGoodness, what if I die?!” What would my girls do?!” I started thinking that I not only need to equip them to live without me or dad, but to LIVE with Christ knowing that HE is all they need. Yes, they would miss us, but knowing that their faith is secure in Christ makes me feel a whole lot better if God does decide to take me home. I want them to live a life pleasing to the Lord, living for the Lord, secure in the Lord, so that the world doesn’t affect, effect or infect them in any way shape or form but to seek Christ more.
So how do you live securely in an in-secure world? Live for Christ daily, lay down your sins daily, seek Christ daily. It won’t be perfect, but you will progress, move forward until you’ve come to a place where your hitting the enemy with every word you know. Allow God to open the eyes of your heart so you can see Him in all things. Let him define who you are so that you’re secure in Him.
For His Glory,
